Day 11 - Charcoal ahoy!
DAy 4 and what a mixed bag of weather. This did not put off the keen and hardy volunteers who made great progress today.
Day 5 and work is well underway to reveal the secrets of the longhouse at the Little Asby community dig.
Day 6 and the northern weather decided to not play fair. Regardless, the volunteers worked hard and made great progress. Trench A looks fantastic!
Day 3 at Little Asby and the excavations are well underway. We were blessed with sunshine all day!
Day 8 and the open day has arrived at Little Asby.
Day 7 already of Season 2 at Little Asby community dig. Today brought us sun, rainbows and rain.
Day 10 at Little Asby and the excavations are well underway.
Day 9 and the sun has got his hat on. The volunteers were busy recording, cleaning and sampling.
Day 11 and we have sunshine, volunteers and a spring in our step.
Day 14 and we were joined by Year 10 and Sixth Form History students from Kirkby Stephen Grammar School.
Day 15 and the eve of the final day.
Day 12 and great progress is being made at the Little Asby Community Dig.
