Lauren is excavating Roman cremations in the East Midlands
After days of rain, Lauren is making the most of the sunshine to excavate and lift some Roman cremations. The cremations, some deposited in urns, some directly into the soil, will then be analysed in detail in the lab.
Adrienne has an exciting update from the South West
"When my colleague Bernice told me this bone fragment looked odd and needed a second look, I didn't expect it would turn out to be from a bear! It comes from a Roman settlement in the south west of England and we hope to find out much more about it...we have so many questions!"
