Our people, with their passion for archaeology and commitment to quality, are at the heart of our long history. Whether you are looking to get your career started or are an experienced professional, we look for the best talent and the most driven people.
Joining Oxford Archaeology means joining an innovative and progressive organisation which undertakes some of the most exciting archaeological projects in the country. The key to our success is, of course, our people and we are committed to ensuring that all our staff are able to develop their careers and to grow, both professionally and personally. We employ a team of almost 400 people across a broad spectrum of specialisms in archaeology and heritage, as well in a range of other disciplines, including HR, IT and finance.
As a charity, delivering public benefit is core to what we do at Oxford Archaeology and this means that our staff have the opportunity to really make a positive difference, both at an individual level and also to society as a whole.
The first time I knew archaeology could be a job, was when I came, with my college, for a tour of Oxford Archaeology, in Lancaster. From then I decided that's what I would be, I got my degrees and came back to work here 4 years later. It's now almost 5 years since then and I have worked through Oxford Archaeology's training schemes up to Supervisor level. I really enjoy being part of this team and have experienced some exciting opportunities working here.
