The UK’s built heritage provides a physical link to the past that is highly valued by society. Preserving built heritage is a government priority, but it is also important to ensure that buildings have a viable and sustainable future. Building assessment, survey and recording form important parts of planning requirements prior to renovation and/or development and these services are all provided by Oxford Archaeology’s in-house historic buildings department. Oxford Archaeology has worked with clients on a notable array of listed and unlisted buildings over many decades, including the fascinating 4-5 Tower Green, Tower of London project.
