Burnley's Queen Street mill, which is shown in the programme

26th February 2013:

OA North’s survey of Lancashire's textile mills, led by Ian Miller, featured on the BBC’s Inside Out North West programme on Monday 25th February. The film was broadcast on BBC One North West and BBC One HD, but is still available on BBC iPlayer.

The film, produced by the BBC, was a behind-the-scenes look at the English Heritage-commissioned project, which is investigating the difficulties of preserving historic textile mills in the face of recession. The film followed Ian Miller and his colleagues on sites in Lancashire as they undertook the survey work, and touched on some of the challenges the team faced and the issues arising from the survey.
