Archaeology is a cross-curricular subject covering aspects of history, English, geography, art and design, mathematics, technology and science. It is also a subject with which all age groups can engage and enjoy. OA East provides and supports a broad range of opportunities, from illustrated talks to ‘hands on’ activity sessions. These services can be provided in a wide variety of environments, including schools and colleges, as well as youth and community organisations.
OA East also provides resources for independent use that can be linked to the National Curriculum. Our hands-on 'red (activity) boxes' cover a topics including Roman, Saxon and medieval life, death and burial, pottery reconstruction, dig boxes, the archaeological timeline, animal bones, flint tools, and much more. See our brochure here for more information.
