Projects within the environmental sector often require multi-disciplinary input to address the complex nature of these settings. The renowned in-house geoarchaeology department at Oxford Archaeology undertakes palaeoenvironmental sampling programmes and deposit modelling at sites across the UK and is also practised in coordinating the multiple stakeholder consultations that can accompany environmental schemes. The Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme showcases the integrated approach that Oxford Archaeology is known for, enabling archaeological and environmental considerations to positively influence Oxford’s response to climate change.
Update 1: Wintringham Site 3 so far
The initial work on site 3 at Wintringham has taken place over the past few months and now OA Cambridge are starting to investigate the main focus of a large Iron Age and Roman settlement.
